Nuclear Power Plant

A nuclear power plant is a thermal power station in which the heat source is a nuclear reactor.

As is typical of thermal power stations, heat is used to generate steam, which drives a steam turbine connected to a generator that produces electricity.
As of April 2020, there were 440 operational nuclear reactors in 30 countries around the world.

They produced about 11% of the world's electricity.

In 2019, nuclear power accounted for 56% of France's electricity production, 70% of Sweden's, and 30% of China's.
